A Week of Whisky
This very friendly tour (can easily be personalised) starts in the Scottish highlands sampling the local hospitality. You will visit five distilleries and The Speyside Cooperage, as well as many of our favourite pubs across Scotland. The tour concludes with a whisky masterclass on Edinburgh’s world famous Royal Mile.
Day 1: Arrive into Edinburgh airport, take a taxi to Haymarket Station, then take your reserved seats on the train from our capital city to Inverness, where you stay in the city centre. Tonight after dinner sample some pubs and meet the locals.
Day 2: Why not take a half day trip to Loch Ness and Castle Urquhart by boat, or just relax and enjoy the city. If you like walking, try the River Ness paths. Overnight Inverness.
Day 3: Your driver guide meets you and takes you to Culloden Battlefield where we toast Bonnie Prince Charlie and the clans. We then drive to Glenfarclas Distillery for a whisky tour and several drams. Then on to a great pub in Craigellachie for a couple of whisky flights or the local pub, having over 1000 between them. You check into Elgin where you staying overnight in a hotel which has over 200 bottles of whisky behind the bar.
Day 4: A morning visit to Macallan Distillery for the 6 pillars whisky tour. A huge investment here with the doubling of production and many new warehouses being built. Then on to Aberlour, time for lunch at the Mash Tun. This afternoon visit Aberlour Distillery to enjoy a tour and several drams. Overnight Elgin.

Day 8: Home – until next time!
Paul and Liz,
““I wanted to personally thank both of you for all your help and expertise in making this tour one of our best holidays. Your partnership and personalities made it seem that we were visiting friends rather than a business relationship. Without both of you our trip would not have been as memorable.
