



The Viking Raid Whisky Tour
We had 28 loveable whisky freaks to Scotland – The Malt Whisky Association of Finland, It was advertised in the Association and sold out in 60 seconds!
Day 1: We’ll meet you at any Scottish airport and together transfer to Elgin for lunch, then a beer and whisky stop at the Golspie Inn. Finally to the Wick Hotel for some relaxation in the bar before a delicious three course whisky dinner.
Day 2: We’ll start the day at Old Pulteney Distillery. Then on to Gills Bay for the 1pm sailing. We arrive into St. Margaret’s Hope and head to Scapa Distillery for a good whisky tour and a chance to sample their drams. Overnight Orkney.
Day 3: A visit to Highland Park Distillery for a brilliant whisky tour. Then we drive to Skara Brae to see this outstanding historic site. At Yesnaby cliffs we can enjoy a whisky tasting with Odin’s Hammer before our eyes – an impressive rock formation sticking out of the sea. We then head off to the peat bog, where we can show you the different peat layers (and another whisky tasting). Return to the hotel.
Day 4: We head to Stromness, for free time before the ferry. There are amazing views to the mainland. Next it’s Wolfburn Distillery, for a whisky tour, warehouse visit and two drinks of new spirit. Then it’s a whisky tour at Clynelish/Brora Distillery before heading south to Inverness staying in a good hotel near the river. Why not sample beers and whisky at the Castle Tavern at your leisure.
Day 5: We leave Inverness and head to Elgin, where we take a whisky tour of Glen Moray Distillery. Iain and the gang can do wonders here, lots of our guests comment it is the highlight of this whisky tour. Then time for lunch before driving to Rothes to see the Glen Grant Distillery, tour & taste. Overnight Elgin.
Day 6: Today we take the 6 Pillars whisky tour at Macallan Distillery. Our final whisky is at Glengarioch Distillery, not far from Aberdeen Airport where you are staying, probably loaded down with whisky purchases. . The tour ends at the hotel after breakfast.
